Statesville, N.C. – PHC Piedmont Urology has announced that Dr. Tao Cui has been recognized as a UroLift Center of Excellence, a prestigious designation awarded to physicians who demonstrate exceptional experience and consistently deliver strong patient outcomes using the UroLift procedure.

The honor highlights providers who have achieved significant procedural expertise in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), commonly known as an enlarged prostate, while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Dr. Cui and the team at PHC Piedmont Urology offer the UroLift procedure as a minimally invasive option designed to relieve urinary symptoms caused by BPH without the need for major surgery. The treatment works by lifting and holding enlarged prostate tissue away from the urethra, improving urinary flow and reducing symptoms.

“The improvement in UroLift technology allows us to treat men with bothersome lower urinary tract symptoms without the need for invasive surgery,” Dr. Cui said. “Most patients see improvement in urinary symptoms in the first few days and can stop long-term medications.”

PHC Piedmont Urology serves patients throughout Iredell County and surrounding areas, providing comprehensive urologic care, including treatment for prostate conditions, kidney stones, urinary disorders, and men’s health concerns.

Patients interested in learning more about the UroLift procedure or scheduling a consultation can contact the Statesville office at 704-838-8200 or visit piedmonthealthcare.com for additional information.

Piedmont HealthCare is a physician-owned, multi-specialty medical group and one of the largest in the region. For more than 30 years, the organization has served patients and families across Iredell County and nearby communities, with over 215 providers across more than 60 locations.
