Fiber Optic Installation Project Scheduled In Statesville Country Club Area

Residents in the Statesville Country Club area can expect to see construction activity beginning June 1 as Zirrus starts a fiber optic installation project.

According to officials, crews will be installing underground fiber optic conduit and cable throughout the neighborhood. The project is expected to continue through June 22, weather permitting.

Work is scheduled along Augusta Drive, Deauville Road, Pinehurst Road, East Glen Eagles Road, West Glen Eagles Road, Wentworth Street, Wentworth Place, St. Andrews Road, Brookemeade Drive, Windsor Place, Lancaster Drive, Buckingham Place, Cambridge Place, and Wickersham Drive.

Residents may notice construction crews working in the area, utility markings, directional boring operations, and occasional lane shifts or short traffic delays while the work is underway.

Officials are encouraging motorists to use caution when traveling through work zones and to expect minor disruptions during the installation process.
