IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Emergency crews declared a mass casualty incident early Friday morning, May 1, after a large overnight gathering at The Healing Chamber Farms turned chaotic, according to published reports.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, along with fire and EMS personnel, responded to the property on Archer Road after reports of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, first responders encountered a large crowd and multiple individuals in need of medical attention, prompting the mass casualty declaration.
Officials report the event had been scheduled from 9 p.m. Thursday to 2 a.m. Friday and was advertised online with more than 3,500 invited guests, though the actual attendance remains unclear.
At this time, authorities have not released the number of people transported to area hospitals or the severity of their injuries.
The Healing Chamber Farms, a 60-acre equestrian venue in Davidson used for retreats and training events, was the location of the gathering. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
