Police Seek Suspect in Fraudulent Purchase at Taylorsville Business

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — The Taylorsville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a reported fraud case at a local business.


According to investigators, a male suspect allegedly entered Beasley Motorsports and used a fraudulent credit card to purchase a backpack leaf blower. After the transaction, the suspect reportedly left the area in what witnesses described as a red Honda passenger vehicle.


Police describe the suspect as a Black male. No further identifying information has been released at this time as the investigation remains ongoing.


Authorities are urging anyone who may recognize the suspect or who has information related to the incident to come forward. Tips can be provided anonymously by contacting the Alexander County Communications Center at (828) 632-2911 or the Taylorsville Police Department at (828) 632-2218.


Officials say public assistance is often critical in helping solve cases like this and are thanking the community for its cooperation.
