Salisbury Police Seeking Suspects After Veterans Memorial Flags Vandalized

SALISBURY, N.C. — The Salisbury Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying several individuals connected to the theft and vandalism of American flags at the Salisbury Veterans Memorial Park.


According to investigators, approximately 200 American flags displayed at the memorial park were damaged or stolen on May 17, 2026. Authorities say the flags were later replaced, but the memorial was vandalized again the following day on May 18.


Police have released images of individuals considered persons of interest in the investigation and are asking anyone with information to come forward.


Anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information about the incidents is asked to contact Sgt. D. Scott or MPO S. Wolf with the Salisbury Police Department at 704-638-5333. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 866-639-5245.


Officials say all information provided through Crime Stoppers will remain confidential.
