Residents across Iredell County will have two major opportunities to celebrate Independence Day with fireworks on Friday, July 3, as both Statesville and Troutman host free community events featuring food, entertainment, and family activities.

In Troutman, the annual Independence Day celebration will take place at the Iredell County Fairgrounds, with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature live music from KRVE Band, entertainment by DJ Sheldon, food trucks, bounce houses, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. or at full dark, depending on conditions. Organizers remind attendees that a clear bag policy will be enforced and that outside alcohol, pets, smoking, and personal fireworks are not permitted.

In Statesville, the city’s annual Fireworks Celebration will also begin at 9:30 p.m., with multiple public viewing locations available. Spectators are encouraged to gather at Signal Hill Mall, the Statesville Soccer Complex, the King of the Sea restaurant parking lot, and the new Food Lion parking lot on East Broad Street.

Adding to this year’s celebration, the WAME Block Party will begin at 7 p.m. in the Signal Hill Mall parking lot, offering music and community entertainment leading up to the fireworks show. City officials encourage residents to arrive early, as parking and viewing areas are expected to fill quickly.

Both events are free to the public and are expected to draw large crowds from across Iredell County and surrounding communities. Officials encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets, plan ahead for traffic, and enjoy a safe holiday celebration.

Whether in Troutman or Statesville, fireworks will once again light up the night sky as the community comes together to celebrate Independence Day weekend.
