Taylorsville Man Arrested Again on New Assault Charges in Less Than Two Weeks

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — A Taylorsville man has been taken into custody again after being charged with additional assault-related offenses for the second time in less than two weeks.
The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 34-year-old William Tyler Herman Jr. of Old Wilkesboro Road on Friday, May 1. He is now facing charges including assault, assault with a deadly weapon involving a hunting knife, injury to real property, and injury to personal property.
Authorities say Herman was previously arrested on April 20 and charged with assault by strangulation and assault on a female.
He is currently being held without bond at the Alexander County Detention Center.
