The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office has filed multiple child exploitation-related charges against a Taylorsville man following an internet crimes investigation.
According to authorities, 20-year-old Landon Samuel Bolton was charged Wednesday, May 28, with six counts of felony second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. Investigators say the charges stem from the alleged downloading and distribution of explicit images involving minors through the internet.
The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation indicates the alleged activity dates back to December 2025. Authorities also reported that investigators found no evidence of any additional similar activity occurring since that time.
Bolton was taken into custody and placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a secured bond of $300,000.
