IREDELL COUNTY, NC – The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is beginning work today, June 16, to replace an aging pipe on a section of Odell Road near Marcel Road.
Crews will close part of Odell Road at 8 a.m. while the pipe replacement project is underway. The work is scheduled to continue through the week, with the road expected to reopen by 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured around the work zone using U.S. 90, Lippard Farm Road, and U.S. 64 to reconnect with Odell Road.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution when traveling near the area. Officials remind drivers to remain alert, avoid distractions, and obey all posted detour signage to ensure safety for both crews and travelers.
