Taylorsville Woman Charged in Identity Theft and Fraud Investigation

TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — A Taylorsville woman is facing multiple felony charges following an identity theft and fraud investigation by the Taylorsville Police Department.


According to a department social media post, investigators launched the case on June 12 after receiving allegations involving identity theft and financial fraud. The investigation led to multiple charges against 25-year-old Brianna Faye Boughner.


Boughner has been charged with several counts of identity theft, obtaining property by false pretenses, and financial card theft.


Police say the secured bonds associated with the identity theft charges total $195,000.


The Taylorsville Police Department stated it remains committed to investigating financial crimes and protecting community members. No additional details have been released at this time.
