$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Mooresville

Monday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1 million-winning ticket sold in Mooresville.

According to lottery officials, the $1 million prize was the largest prize won nationally in that drawing.

The winning $2 ticket was purchased at Fast Phil’s on Charlotte Highway in Mooresville. The ticket matched all five white ball numbers to win the $1 million prize. The odds of matching all five white balls are approximately 1 in 11.6 million.

Lottery officials say the winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize.

As of now, the winner has not been publicly identified.
