It was a perfect day Saturday for the Special Olympics Iredell County Polar Plunge, as community members gathered to brave the cold waters in support of local athletes.
Participants, spectators, donors, and volunteers all played a role in making the event a success. Organizers expressed their gratitude to everyone who came out to show their support, as well as those who contributed photos to capture the day’s excitement.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, families, and friends, the fundraiser is closing in on its $35,000 goal. Organizers say they are “so close” to reaching that milestone.
There is still time for those who would like to contribute. Donations remain open as the community continues rallying behind Special Olympics Iredell County and its athletes.
