Fentanyl, Meth Found During Iredell County Traffic Stop

On Saturday, December 27, 2025, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team received information from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office regarding possible illegal activity involving a vehicle believed to be traveling through Iredell County toward Rowan County.


Deputies responded to Salisbury Highway, where they began monitoring traffic. A short time later, deputies located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.


During the stop, deputies observed indicators of criminal activity. The owner of the vehicle gave consent for a search.


During the search, deputies found approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of fentanyl, a large amount of cash, and a handgun concealed inside the vehicle. All items were seized.


John Harry Mueller and Megan Grace Stackable were taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center.


A magistrate issued no bond on multiple charges, including felony trafficking fentanyl by possession, felony trafficking fentanyl by transport, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver methamphetamine, and felony maintaining a vehicle for a controlled substance.
