Families across Iredell County can soon start planning for summer, as registration dates have been announced for the 2026 Parks and Recreation summer camps.
According to Iredell County Parks & Recreation, the process begins March 23rd at 8 a.m. with a mandatory pre-enrollment questionnaire. Full online registration for all camps opens to the public April 1st at 8 a.m.
Camp Iredell is available for children ages 5 to 11, with weekly costs ranging from $180 to $210. Locations include the Iredell County Recreation Center, East Iredell Elementary, and The Brawley School.
Older kids can take part in Camp Iredell Adventures, designed for ages 11 to 13. That program costs $220 per week and is offered exclusively at The Brawley School.
All camps are scheduled to run from June 1st through July 31st, operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with no camp the week of June 29th.
Officials say online registration is highly recommended, as spots tend to fill quickly on the first day. Due to high demand, using a desktop computer instead of a mobile device may improve the chances of securing a spot.
Waitlists will be available, and families are encouraged to plan ahead to ensure their children don’t miss out on summer activities.
