Man Arrested on Multiple Charges Following Cleveland Traffic Stop

A routine patrol in Cleveland led to the arrest of a man facing multiple charges, including an outstanding felony warrant from Rowan County.
According to the Cleveland Police Department, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, officers were conducting proactive patrol checks throughout town when an officer observed a vehicle parked at the Cleveland Town Park after operating hours.
During the encounter, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search was conducted, and authorities say they discovered marijuana and a concealed handgun. In addition, the driver was found to have an outstanding felony warrant from Rowan County.
The suspect was identified as Jaquarrius Tyree Pressley.
Pressley faces the following charges:
Felony warrants out of Rowan County
Possession of marijuana (citation)
Possession of marijuana paraphernalia (citation)
Carrying a concealed gun (citation)
He was issued a $2,500 secured bond and transported before a magistrate. Pressley was later remanded to the custody of the Rowan County Detention Center.
