Authorities in Rowan County say a continuing investigation into fentanyl trafficking has led to another arrest, expanding a case that began earlier this month.

According to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Jaiden Alexander White was first taken into custody on April 1, 2026, following a month-long undercover operation. Investigators say White sold suspected fentanyl to an undercover detective on two separate occasions, totaling approximately 74 grams with an estimated street value of more than $3,000. He now faces multiple trafficking-related charges and was issued a $1.75 million secured bond.

As detectives continued their investigation, they identified 20-year-old Timothy Wayne Morrow as a key suspect believed to be working alongside White in the trafficking operation.

Morrow was arrested on April 9 and is now facing several serious charges, including five counts of trafficking fentanyl, two counts of conspiracy to traffic fentanyl, and one count of maintaining a vehicle for drug activity. He was given a $2 million secured bond and is currently being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

The sheriff’s office says the case highlights ongoing efforts to combat the spread of fentanyl and other dangerous narcotics in the community. Investigators emphasize that the operation remains active, and additional arrests or charges could follow as more information is uncovered.

Officials say they remain committed to targeting those involved in the distribution of illegal drugs and holding offenders accountable.
