Construction on the new terminal building at Statesville Regional Airport is entering its final stages. Crews are completing the remaining punch list items and final touches throughout the building.
Long lead-time metal panels are expected to arrive in mid- to late February 2026 and will be installed once delivered. The originally ordered flagpole arrived with an incorrect finish and was returned; the correct flagpole was delivered last week and is currently being installed.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for February 9, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Statesville Regional Airport, 238 Airport Road.
Officials say the new terminal will provide updated facilities for travelers and support ongoing airport operations.
