Two Arrested in Alexander County Breaking and Entering Investigation

ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. — Two people were arrested last week following a breaking and entering investigation conducted by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.
According to investigators, deputies arrested 45-year-old Randy Mitchell Beard on May 14, 2026, in connection with the case. Beard was charged with:
Breaking and Entering
Larceny After Breaking and Entering
Authorities say Beard is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $30,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was scheduled for May 18.
Deputies also arrested 44-year-old Jennifer Ann Barlow of Hiddenite in connection with the investigation. Barlow faces the following charges:
Breaking and Entering
Larceny After Breaking and Entering
Possession of Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Resisting a Public Officer
Barlow is currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $58,000 secured bond. She was also scheduled to appear in court on May 18.
