Two Taylorsville Men Arrested in Connection with Bethlehem Break-In

The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two Taylorsville men in connection with a March 2026 incident in the Bethlehem community.
Authorities say 45-year-old Bryan Dale Johnson and 48-year-old James Edward Kovach are both charged with breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit felony larceny, larceny after breaking and entering, and causing damage to personal and real property.
Both Johnson and Kovach are currently being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under $55,000 secured bonds. Their first appearances in Alexander County District Court are scheduled for April 13, 2026.
The sheriff’s office continues to investigate the incident as part of its ongoing efforts to protect the community from property crimes.
