Vehicle Fire Stops I-77 Traffic In Yadkin County

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — A vehicle fire early Thursday morning disrupted traffic for hours along Interstate 77 in southern Yadkin County.

The fire was reported near Exit 70 at Rena Bridge Road, where emergency crews responded to a vehicle fully engulfed in flames in the southbound lanes.

Authorities temporarily slowed and restricted traffic while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze and clear the scene. Motorists experienced significant delays in the area during the morning commute.

No injuries have been reported at this time. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
