Bomb Threat Reported at Statesville High; Students Safely Return to Class

Statesville Police confirmed they received a bomb threat targeting Statesville High School around 8:00 a.m. this morning.
According to authorities, a 911 caller reportedly claimed to be a student and said they intended to detonate a bomb within 30 minutes. The caller also allegedly stated they were in possession of an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
As a precaution, all students were evacuated from the campus while law enforcement agencies secured the scene and conducted a thorough sweep of the school grounds. Officials emphasized that all threats are treated as credible until they can be fully investigated and determined to be unfounded.
By approximately 9:35 a.m., officers securing the perimeter began clearing the scene. At 9:43 a.m., authorities confirmed no threat was found, and students were allowed to return to class.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional information has been released at this time.
