Crews Respond to Working Camper Fire on Howards Bridge Road

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — Fire crews responded early this morning to a working fire involving a camper on Howards Bridge Road in Yadkin County.


According to Union Grove Fire & Rescue, the call came in around 3:07 a.m., with firefighters assisting Buck Shoals Fire Department on a fully involved camper fire that had extended to a nearby shed.


Union Grove Fire & Rescue deployed Tanker 2 and personnel to the scene, where crews worked for approximately an hour and a half to help bring the fire under control and prevent further spread.


No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire has not been released. Fire officials have not provided an estimate of damages.


The incident remains under investigation.
