Ex-NASCAR Driver’s Wife Arrested on Felony Larceny Charge

A woman identified as the ex-wife of a well-known NASCAR driver is facing a felony larceny charge following an arrest in Iredell County.
According to public booking records, Lauren Beth Crafton was taken into custody around February 20th and charged under North Carolina General Statute 14-72(a), which covers felony larceny. Authorities set her bond at $2,500, and a booking photo was released as part of the public record.
Crafton is the former spouse of three-time champion driver Matt Crafton of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The couple divorced in 2008.
Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft, and no further information about the investigation has been disclosed at this time. Authorities have also indicated there is no known connection between the case and Crafton’s racing career or current professional activities.
The arrest occurred in Iredell County, and the investigation remains ongoing.
