Fiber Optic Installation Planned for Beverly Heights Neighborhood

The City of Statesville has approved a permit for Zirrus to install underground fiber optic conduits and cables in the Beverly Heights neighborhood.

Work is scheduled to begin on January 5 and is expected to be completed by January 30, weather permitting.

Streets included in the project, in no particular order, are Beverly Drive, Macon Drive, Cameron Drive, Kenmore Drive, Millsaps Road, Museum Road (North and East), and Chestnut Street.

During the project, residents may notice utility markings, construction crews working in the right-of-way, brief traffic delays, and temporary access disruptions. All affected areas will be restored once the work is complete.
