An Alexander County grand jury has indicted a Taylorsville man following a large-scale drug investigation conducted last December.
Authorities say 49-year-old Bradley Dwayne Smith was initially arrested after deputies, working alongside state and local agencies, executed search warrants at three locations on Willie McLeod Road.
During the operation, investigators seized more than six pounds of methamphetamine, over two pounds of cocaine, and nearly three pounds of marijuana. Officials also reported recovering fentanyl, mushrooms, firearms, cash, and illegal moonshine. The total estimated street value of the drugs was approximately $61,000.
Smith now faces multiple felony charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl, as well as conspiracy and maintaining a dwelling for drug sales.
Officials say Smith remains in custody as the case moves forward.
