Several frozen pizza products sold at major retailers including Walmart and Aldi are being recalled due to potential contamination with Salmonella, according to federal food safety officials.
The recall affects specific varieties of store-brand and private-label pizzas, including Great Value and Mama Cozzi's products, as well as items sold under the Culinary Circle label.
Recalled Products Include:
Great Value (Walmart):
Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza (17.55 oz)
Stuffed Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza (23.1 oz)
Mama Cozzi’s (Aldi):
Biscuit Crust Sausage & Cheese Breakfast Pizza (18.5 oz)
Biscuit Crust Breakfast Pizza with pork belly crumbles, bacon, peppers, and onions
Culinary Circle:
Ultra Thin Crust Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
Officials say the issue stems from a potentially contaminated dry milk powder used as an ingredient in the pizzas.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) warns consumers not to eat the affected products. Instead, they should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The recalled pizzas carry best-by dates ranging from February 17 through February 26, 2026.
While no illnesses have been reported so far, Salmonella can cause serious infections, particularly in young children, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems.
Consumers are urged to check their freezers and take immediate action if they have purchased any of the recalled items.
