Investigators have taken a new step in the burglary investigation at the home of late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, serving search warrants at two properties tied to the case in recent days.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, deputies searched one property in Mooresville and another in nearby Denver as they continue to investigate the January break-in at Biffle’s home. Authorities say several electronic devices were seized during the searches, though no arrests had been announced as of late last week.

The break-in happened just weeks after Biffle and several family members were killed in a plane crash near Statesville. Investigators previously said about $30,000 in cash, firearms, and racing memorabilia were reported missing from the home.

Sheriff’s officials say a person of interest has now been identified, but investigators have not publicly released a name while the case remains active. Authorities say the evidence collected during the searches could help determine who was responsible for the burglary.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
