Iredell County, NC — An update to a story first reported yesterday, deputies with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two individuals following a commercial burglary on Sharon School Road early Sunday morning, February 1, 2026.
At approximately 3:42 a.m., deputies responded to a burglar alarm at the business. Upon arrival, they discovered a broken window, a ladder at the rear of the building, and fresh footprints in the snow. The business owner reported a damaged safe and the theft of a money box containing roughly $1,800, as well as several hundred dollars’ worth of merchandise.
Sergeant N. Hodges and his canine partner Levi assisted deputies by tracking the suspect behind the business toward Goble Road. During the search, deputies recovered the emptied money box and additional evidence dropped by the suspect. The track continued to a residence on Arborgate Loop, where deputies located a recently driven vehicle and shoe prints matching those at the scene.
Occupants Jana Lynn Parsons, 51, and Arthur Lee Oxendale, 53, were contacted at the residence. Both initially denied involvement, but evidence led investigators to execute a search warrant, resulting in the recovery of some stolen property.
Detectives determined that Oxendale had broken into the business and stolen cash and merchandise, while Parsons assisted by transporting him in her vehicle. Oxendale was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Charges:
Arthur Lee Oxendale, 53: Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after B&E, Felony Safecracking, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is currently held without bond due to being out on bond for pending charges.
Jana Lynn Parsons, 51: Felony Conspiracy. She was issued a $10,000 secured bond.
Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. The investigation remains active, and authorities continue to gather information regarding the incident.
