Wilkesboro Man Faces 11 Failure to Appear Charges, Habitual Felon Count

A Wilkes County man was arrested Wednesday on numerous court-related charges, including 11 counts of failure to appear, according to jail records.
Anthony Benjamin Church, 51, of Wilkesboro, was booked into the Iredell County Detention Facility at 1:12 p.m. on February 18. The arrest was handled by the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Church is charged with 11 counts of failure to appear, with secured bonds on those charges ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. Additional charges include felony probation violation with a $10,000 secured bond, habitual felon status with a $50,000 secured bond, and a “true bill” count carrying a $10,000 secured bond.
Jail records show Church remained in custody until his release at 1:47 a.m. on February 19. Details about the underlying cases connected to the failure to appear charges were not immediately available.
The booking and processing occurred at the detention facility in Statesville. No further information regarding upcoming court proceedings has been released.
