Iredell County, N.C. — The annual Love United Iredell campaign is underway, bringing renewed focus to community support and fundraising for local nonprofit projects throughout Iredell County.

Organized by the United Way of Iredell County, Love United Iredell is a project‑based fundraising initiative that runs throughout February. In its fifth year, the effort highlights a selection of nonprofit organizations working to address a variety of needs — from supporting families and children to bolstering essential services across the community.

Nine local nonprofit agencies were chosen this year to take part in the campaign. Each organization is seeking community support to fund specific short‑term projects that aim to make a measurable impact. Projects range from providing pet food for home‑delivery meal clients to distributing books to children through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

The selected agencies will be featured on the United Way’s social media channels, in podcast segments, and on local radio station WAME over the coming weeks to help raise awareness and support for their work.

At a recent kickoff breakfast held at The Unity Center, representatives from several participating nonprofits shared their goals and the impact they hope to achieve through community engagement and fundraising. Nearly half of this year’s selected agencies are new to the Love United Iredell campaign.

Jennifer Christian, executive director of Crosby Scholars, said the campaign is not only a financial boost but also an opportunity to increase awareness of the organization’s mission and expand its reach across the county.

Love United Iredell is part of the United Way’s broader efforts to unite residents, businesses, and civic groups in collaborative action for a stronger, more connected Iredell County.
