Missing Person – Public’s Help Needed in Statesville

The Statesville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man who has been reported missing.

David Dewayne Simpson, 45, was last seen on March 3, 2026, in the Statesville area. Police say he was in the 2500 block of Davie Avenue when he was last observed.

Simpson is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing around 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

At the time he was last seen, Simpson was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans, red and white Jordan tennis shoes, and a black beanie.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Simpson or who may have information about his whereabouts to contact the Statesville Police Department at 704-878-3406.

Police say any information, no matter how small it may seem, could help in locating him.
