IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and local officers will be recognized and celebrated with events highlighting the challenges and successes of policing in the community.

Our radio station will host a live roundtable discussion at 10 a.m. on 550 AM and 92.9 FM WAME, bringing together local law enforcement leaders, as well as city, county, and state officials. The conversation will focus on key issues facing law enforcement in Iredell County, including community engagement, crime prevention, and resources needed to support officers in their daily work.

In addition to the discussion, all law enforcement personnel will be treated to a complimentary lunch at Randy’s BBQ throughout the day as a token of appreciation for their service.

The events will provide both a platform for open dialogue and an opportunity for the community to show gratitude to the men and women who serve and protect Iredell County. Organizers say the day is meant to honor the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment of local law enforcement officers.

City and county officials who participate will emphasize the importance of supporting law enforcement while fostering trust and communication between officers and the community they serve.
