Sheriff Debunks Arrest Rumors in Perth Road Case

Rumors circulating on social media claiming an arrest has been made in connection with the recent shooting incidents along Perth Road in Troutman are inaccurate, according to authorities.

In a conversation Thursday, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell confirmed that no one has been arrested or charged in the case at this time.

The clarification comes after several social media posts claimed that a suspect had already been taken into custody in connection with vehicles being shot along Perth Road. Sheriff Campbell said those reports are false.

However, investigators have developed person(s) of interest as they continue to look into the incidents.

Sheriff Campbell said the investigation remains active, and deputies are continuing to follow leads related to the shootings.

Authorities have not released additional details about the individuals of interest, and no timeline has been given for potential charges.
