Statesville Drug Bust Nets Two Arrests

The Statesville Police Department has wrapped up a two-month narcotics investigation targeting cocaine distribution in East Statesville.

On March 12, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Nelly Green Circle, seizing more than five ounces of cocaine and 17.5 grams of fentanyl. Two suspects, 40-year-old Ralph Sherburne Zartuche and 44-year-old Raymond Dewayne Ramseur, were taken into custody without incident.

Zartuche is charged with trafficking cocaine and fentanyl and is being held on a $750,000 bond. Ramseur faces a cocaine trafficking charge with the same bond and has 27 pending felony cases related to cocaine.

Both were taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. Police say the investigation is part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the community.
