A Statesville man is facing multiple felony charges after narcotics investigators with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence over the weekend.

According to the sheriff’s office, Narcotics Detectives and ACE Team deputies served the warrant Saturday, February 7, 2026, at a home located at 168 Marlow Woods Drive in Statesville. The warrant followed multiple complaints from members of the community.

Authorities say the residence belongs to Erik Brian Luhrs. During the search, investigators reportedly seized significant quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and items consistent with the sale and distribution of controlled substances.

Items recovered included approximately 24 grams of cocaine, 129 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 98.46 grams of marijuana. Deputies also seized a large amount of U.S. currency and packaging materials commonly associated with drug trafficking.

In addition to the drugs, investigators recovered multiple firearms, ammunition, and body armor from the residence. The sheriff’s office states that Luhrs is a convicted felon and is legally prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Luhrs currently had 14 pending charges awaiting trial prior to this arrest, according to authorities.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he appeared before Magistrate Thompson and was issued no bond.

Luhrs faces the following charges:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver a Schedule VI Controlled Substance

  • Felony Manufacturing Marijuana and Mushrooms

  • Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances

  • Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon

In a statement, Sheriff Darren Campbell credited community members for bringing concerns forward.

“This case is a clear example of how an observant and engaged community helps law enforcement take action,” Campbell said. “Tips from residents allow us to identify and remove repeat offenders, making our neighborhoods safer for everyone.”

The sheriff encouraged residents to report suspicious activity through the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office mobile app or its Say Something reporting system.

The investigation remains ongoing.
