Stony Point Woman Arrested on Drug Charges

A Stony Point woman is facing multiple charges following her arrest by the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say 49-year-old Michelle Jean Colborne was taken into custody and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

Colborne was also served with outstanding warrants from the Taylorsville Police Department.

She was placed in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $22,000 secured bond.

Her first court appearance was scheduled for Monday, February 16.
