Warrants Issued for Two Suspects in Fatal Salisbury Hit-and-Run

UPDATE: Authorities have obtained arrest warrants for two suspects connected to a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred on February 20, 2026, at the intersection of South Main Street and Airport Road.
Following continued investigative efforts and information provided by the public, detectives identified Tavita Garcia Diaz (DOB: 05/05/1996) and Victor Hugo Vasquez Morales (DOB: 08/31/1995) as occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Both individuals are wanted on three counts of felony passenger fleeing the scene of a crash resulting in serious injury or death. Nationwide extradition has been authorized for both suspects.
The Salisbury Police Department is asking for the public’s continued assistance in locating the two individuals. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is encouraged to contact Traffic Crash Investigator Corporal Benjamin at 704-638-5333.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-866-639-5245. Officials say information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
