One person was killed and three others were injured in a serious crash Tuesday morning, December 30, in Iredell County.

North Carolina State Highway Patrol said the collision happened shortly before morning hours on Bell Farm Road near Farmwood Drive.

Troopers said a 2005 Toyota Camry traveling north on Bell Farm Road left the roadway, then overcorrected while attempting to reenter the lane. The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a 2023 BMW X1.

The driver of the Camry, 19-year-old Brianna Brown of Salisbury, died from her injuries.

The driver of the BMW was taken to Atrium Baptist Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition. Two juvenile passengers in the BMW were transported to Brenner Children’s Hospital with critical injuries.

Bell Farm Road was closed for approximately four hours while troopers conducted the initial investigation. Authorities said no charges will be filed in connection with the crash.
