Police in Cleveland say a recent traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a driver on impaired driving charges.
According to the Cleveland Police Department, officers responded on March 14, 2026, to a call regarding a possible impaired driver. After locating the vehicle, officers made contact with the driver, identified as Jay Lynn Montgomery.
Following roadside testing and further investigation, Montgomery was arrested and charged with Driving While Impaired. Authorities say his bond was set at $1,000.
Police emphasize that impaired driving continues to be a leading cause of serious crashes and fatalities. Even small amounts of impairment can affect judgment, reaction time, and the ability to operate a vehicle safely.
Officials encourage the public to report suspected impaired drivers immediately, noting that quick action can help prevent accidents and save lives.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
