Detectives with the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office have made a major arrest following a months-long undercover drug investigation.
On Friday, February 27th, members of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, along with road patrol deputies, executed a search warrant at a home on Winford Road. Authorities say the investigation revealed that Chakiris Legeorge Ramsey was selling cocaine from the residence. Ramsey, a convicted felon, has previously served time in federal prison for cocaine-related offenses.
During the search, deputies say they found MDMA, marijuana, marijuana wax, and multiple items used in the production of crack cocaine. A firearm was also discovered inside the home, which Ramsey was prohibited from possessing due to his prior convictions.
Ramsey was arrested at the scene and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. Magistrate Stanley set his bond at $400,000 secured.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office emphasized its ongoing commitment to targeting illegal narcotics activity and holding repeat offenders accountable.
