The Davie County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a local man in connection with an ongoing child exploitation investigation involving digital evidence and a CyberTip from state authorities.

Authorities say Brandon Wayne Trivette, of the 100 block of Hodsons MHP Road in Advance, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of second-degree exploitation of a minor.

The investigation began after a CyberTip was received on April 14, 2026, by the North Carolina Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, indicating that child sexual abuse material was being transmitted from an IP address linked to the residence.

On July 1, 2026, detectives with the Davie County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, executed a search warrant at the home. During the search, investigators recovered multiple items of digital evidence believed to be connected to illegal activity.

Trivette was taken into custody and transported to the Davie County Detention Center. He is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in Davie County District Court on July 30, 2026.

The case remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division of the Davie County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 336-751-6238 or email Sheriff@dcsonc.com.
