John Wyane Brown, 33, of Mount Holly, North Carolina, was arrested on January 31, 2026, by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office on multiple drug- and public safety-related charges.

According to jail records, Oxendale was booked into the Iredell County Detention Facility at approximately 12:40 a.m. on February 2, 2026. He remains in custody at the time of reporting.

A 47-year-old woman from Taylorsville was arrested Friday, January 30, by Alexander County Sheriff’s Office detectives on multiple felony charges related to alleged financial misconduct.

A winter snowstorm that moved through the area on Saturday left measurable snow across Iredell County and forced all area schools to close as hazardous conditions continued into the week.

During the investigation, detectives determined that two individuals knowingly assisted Spradling in avoiding arrest, despite being aware of his outstanding warrants and his status as a registered sex offender. As a result, Stephanie Darlene Cruz, 40, and Daniel Lee Busque, 48, both of Statesville, were arrested and charged with felony offenses for assisting a sex offender in failing to comply with the law.
